At the Tic Toc Room (478-744-0123), opened in April 2001 by Cesare Mammarella, choose from a lengthy list of wines, many of them moderately priced, or from 30 kinds of martinis ($8). The Tic Toc's chef, Peter Fassbender, brings training at Le Cordon Bleu to dishes like a salmon and mango sushi roll, lightly fried in tempura batter ($8) and tilapia in a white wine dill sauce, served with sauteed spinach and squash stuffed with crab ($18). If the night feels young, walk next door to Déa Nightclub (420 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, 478-755-1620; $5 cover charge on Saturdays), also owned by Mr. Mammarella, and dance to high-energy music. Or if you prefer jazz and blues, go to Trio (430 Cherry Street, 478-738-8746; $5 cover on Saturdays). New York Times
