'The Museum of Latin American Art (562-437-1689), has one of the largest collections of contemporary Latin American paintings and sculpture anywhere. It focuses on artists who have lived or worked in Latin America since World War II. On display through March 20 is 'Tamayo: A Search for the Essence,' an assemblage of 75 of the artist's vivid, mysterious works. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students (everyone free on Fridays). Open 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.''
