Taj mahal of American Diners - View this location on map

Roadtrip America called it the "Taj Mahal of American diners" while Gridskipper.com describes the Mayfair is one of Philly's true classic diners. It opened in 1932, has ancient waitresses, and features typical diner favorites on the menu. It's still located in its original diner car (though it has expanded to triple in size), and all of the stainless-steel and vinyl booths have been preserved. Highlights include homemade meatloaf, sauerkraut, and Dutch meatballs. 7343 Frankford Ave
