'No visit to Indianapolis would be complete without a trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (317-492-6784). The Hall of Fame Museum ($3 admission) within the racetrack grounds houses vintage race cars, trophies and more than two dozen cars that actually won the Indy 500 - including Ray Harroun's Marmon Wasp, which finished first in the race's inaugural running in 1911. The narrated bus ride around the fabled 2½-mile oval ($3) may be the closest you ever come to racing in the old Brickyard, but unfortunately the driver never gets above 30 miles an hour. The tour offers an up-close look at the famed racing pagoda, Gasoline Alley and the last remaining strip of the track's original brick surface, 36 inches wide, which now serves as the start/finish line.''
