The back room, appropriately called the Zebra Room, is decked out with zig-zagging black and white tiles, leather banquettes, and a baby grand piano, hosting nightly jazz for a usual $10 cover -- decent enough, considering the quality and reputation of their higher profile acts. The venue is remembered for showcasing the likes of Miles Davis and Billie Holiday for an audience that included Langston Hughes and Malcolm X.
