
Howard, General Oliver Otis, House - View this location on map ![]() Completed in 1867, this was the private residence of Oliver Otis Howard (1830-1909), Union general, Commissioner of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, and the third president (1869-1874) of Howard University.
