Harvard Stadium - View this location on map

The first college stadium in the U.S., it is also the earliest extant (1903). It became a prototype for other college stadiums because of its design and multi-purpose use. A pioneering example of the use of reinforced concrete, at the time of its completion it was the largest structure of that material in the world. Also representative of the early Harvard coaches and teams, who played a major role in the development of intercollegiate football.
