
Central of Georgia Railroad Shops and Terminal - View this location on map ![]() Begun in 1860, this was an early attempt to build a comprehensive railroad terminal and shop complex. The trainshed is the oldest remaining example of early iron roof construction, the first step in the evolution of modern steel building methods.
